Big Girl!

Last weekend we spent the day at my sisters celebrating my niece Alexis' 9Th birthday! I still can't believe my baby niece is 9! Gone are the days when I would pick out something pink with the word "Princess" on it and she would love it. Now she has her likes and dislikes and has no problem telling Aunt Carrie exactly what she wants! My sister rented a huge water slide for the backyard that kept the kids busy all day. It was a great time and I am a very proud Auntie!

36 months

This month Allen and I celebrated 3 years together! Seems like just yesterday we were meeting for our blind date! I knew that night Allen was a special guy who I wanted to get to know better, and that is exactly what I've been doing! We both feel very blessed to have each other and look forward to many more years together!

After dating a month Allen sent two dozen roses to my work! 3 years later I still get roses!




We had a pepper-crusted fillet and a twice baked potato for dinner. Mmmmmm...

Surprise!!

So, my birthday was April 18th and every year for my birthday Allen takes to me to really nice restaurant for a wonderful romantic dinner. Well this year was a bit different! He told me we were going to dinner as usual but he wanted to keep the location a surprise. Little did I know this was not the only surprise.

On our way to the restaurant there was a horrible wreck on the highway and we were not moving at all. I mean AT ALL! I suggested to Allen we were going to miss our reservation so we should just go somewhere else. Which is what we would normally do in a situation such as this. I really dislike traffic! Poor Allen, he was trying so hard to reassure me we could just get a later reservation.

So we finally arrive at Mattitos, after being in the car for over an hour, and it's this great little Mexican food restaurant in uptown. Allen talked with the guy and he walked us into this room and it was like a scene out of a movie! Everyone yelled, "Surprise!" and I couldn't believe it! I think I was in shock for most of the night! My family and friends did such a good job lying to me all day! A big thank you to my wonderful sister Morgan for planning a fun and wonderful night!! And to everyone else who made my 24th so memorable!! I love you all!!
